Qual Research: Strategic Planning

Research Set up
The Problem As we expanded Quantitative Research, Qualitative Research, and hybrid workflows on consumr.ai, the earlier Research Setup flow began to feel fragmented. The placement and naming of Hybrid research created confusion around when to use it, while limited in-product guidance made it harder for users to confidently set up studies without second-guessing inputs.
The Solution We streamlined the Research Setup experience with multiple flow and communication improvements. The Hybrid research option has been renamed to “New Digital Study” and is now accessible via the New Events button in the Calendar, aligning it more naturally with how studies are planned and tracked. We also improved in-product messaging and introduced smarter field-level validations to guide users as they configure their research.
The Impact Research setup is now clearer, more intuitive, and easier to navigate whether you’re running Quant Surveys, Qual Research, or digitally blended studies. Users spend less time figuring out where things live, make fewer setup errors, and can move faster from intent to execution with greater confidence in their research design.

Research Set up - Auto Set up
The Problem Setting up research and creating AI Twins often requires multiple decisions and validations, especially when using a fully guided flow. While this level of control is valuable, it can slow teams down when segments are already defined and the goal is simply to move quickly into Quant or Qual Research..

The Solution We’ve introduced Auto Setup within Research Setup. Users can now choose between the existing guided flow where every recommendation is reviewed and validated, or Continue with Auto, where consumr.ai automatically selects the required inputs and creates AI Twins end to end based on the chosen segments.

The Impact Auto Setup significantly reduces setup time and decision fatigue, allowing teams to move faster from segmentation to execution. Whether you’re launching Short Surveys, running AI-powered Focus Groups, or starting Concept Testing, you can now choose between speed and control without compromising research quality.
Mentions Category Fallback
The Problem Mentions Insight assets rely on user-defined keywords to surface consumer conversations. In some cases, highly specific or niche keywords can result in limited data, leading to reports that lack sufficient signal for meaningful Qualitative Research or analysis.
The Solution We’ve introduced a Category Fallback mechanism within Mentions Insights. When keyword inputs are too narrow to generate statistically or directionally significant results, the system now automatically expands the analysis to a relevant category layer without requiring any manual intervention from the user.
The Impact Users consistently receive usable, insight-rich Mentions reports, even when starting with highly specific inputs. This ensures stronger signal quality for Market Research, reduces dead-end analyses, and helps teams move forward with confidence in downstream workflows such as AI Twin creation, Focus Groups, and Concept Testing.
AdCopy Variants
The Problem In Qualitative Research and creative assessments, feedback from AI Twins often highlights improvements needed in messaging, tone, or clarity. Until now, these insights required users to manually translate feedback into revised ad copy, slowing down the iteration process between learning and execution.
The Solution We’ve extended creative assessments to support Ad Copy Variants. In addition to generating image ad variations based on AI Twin feedback, consumr.ai can now create multiple ad copy variants directly from qualitative insights shared by the Twins.
The Impact Creative iteration becomes faster and more tightly connected to consumer feedback. Teams can move seamlessly from insight to execution, testing multiple messaging directions with greater confidence and using Qual Research to directly inform Concept Testing, Product Testing, and campaign-ready creative development.
Quant Research: Survey Type: Standard
The Problem While Quick Polls and Custom Short Surveys work well for rapid validation and gap-filling, they aren’t always sufficient for deeper, more rigorous Quantitative Research. Use cases such as brand tracking, segmentation, and media consumption analysis require longer, structured surveys that mirror traditional research standards.
The Solution We’ve introduced Standard Surveys to consumr.ai’s Quant Research offering. Alongside Quick Polls (1–3 questions) and Custom Short Surveys (7–10 questions), users can now run longer, customizable surveys built on proven templates for brand health, segmentation, and media-related objectives. These surveys are designed to deliver statistically robust outputs and typically execute within about an hour.
The Impact Teams can now choose the right survey depth for every research need ranging from rapid pulse checks to full-scale Market Research studies. This brings greater methodological flexibility to Quant Surveys, enabling more confident decision-making without leaving the consumr.ai platform.
Quant Research: Saving Survey Questionnaires
The Problem In Quantitative Research, building a high-quality questionnaire takes time and careful thought. While consumr.ai already solves for unbiased responders and flexible survey creation, users previously had to recreate questionnaires for similar studies, even when the structure and questions remained largely the same.
The Solution We’ve introduced the ability to save survey questionnaires within Quant Research. Once a questionnaire is created and customized, it can now be stored within a portfolio and reused for future surveys, without needing to rebuild it from scratch.
The Impact This makes Quant Surveys more efficient, consistent, and scalable. Teams can standardize questionnaires for ongoing Market Research, brand tracking, or segmentation studies, reducing setup time while preserving methodological consistency across research waves.
Quant Research: Retry a Question in survey
The Problem In Quantitative Research, survey execution involves multiple backend processes, and there are instances where respondents may skip or fail to complete certain questions. Until now, this could result in partial datasets that required rerunning surveys or accepting gaps in the results.
The Solution We’ve introduced the ability to retry specific questions within a Quant Survey. When unanswered or incomplete questions are identified in the report’s details section, users can now prompt respondents to re-answer only those questions, without rerunning the entire survey.
The Impact This improves data completeness while saving time and resources. Researchers gain greater control over their Quant Surveys, ensuring stronger datasets for analysis, more reliable Market Research outcomes, and fewer compromises in decision-making.
Qual Research: Consumer Co-Creation
The Problem Teams often invest significant time and resources developing new features or product concepts before knowing whether they truly resonate with consumers. Traditional validation methods can be slow, expensive, or difficult to run early enough to meaningfully influence decisions.

The Solution We’ve introduced Consumer Co-Creation, a new type of Qualitative Research on consumr.ai. Users define a problem statement, goal, concept description, constraints, guardrails, and success metrics. Based on these inputs, the system generates a structured questionnaire and recommends relevant AI Twins to evaluate the concept, discuss it collaboratively, and return clear pros and cons from a consumer perspective.
The Impact Consumer Co-Creation acts as a fast, low-risk sounding board before deeper investment. Teams can validate, refine, or discard concepts early, using Qual Research grounded in real consumer intelligence before presenting to leadership, running Product Testing, or committing to product development and market fit analysis.
